Siegfried Jerusalem

The six non-binary writers work in their one person: J. Summer Jones, Siegfried Jerusalem, R.R. Cyprian, Johnny G. Carmody, Marine Stepanova, Ronnie Romanowski, form the New Festival Theory crew. They have published two books: The Big Book of Canadian Poetry (Augustine Hand Press, 2011) and Incantations from the Republic of Fire (2013) and continue to work on poetry in the rich ground of one of North America’s most diverse cultures, Winnipeg, Canada. M. Stepanova will soon be published in the international Selkie Resiliency Anthology, R. Romanowski in Solum, and Siegfried Jerusalem in Passenger’s Journal.

Siegfried likes to ski cross-country and ice fish in winter as well as summer hikes and bird watching; any meditative activities that allow one to work on lines of poetry while participating.

On the poem “Disinformation Deforms Blissful Creation into a Rutting Abomination”: Too much? Too Randall Jarrellesque? This “too much” comes at just the right time. Poetry must take on the tyrants spreading like viruses all over the word and the lies that sustain them.
