Louise Moises

Born, raised, and still residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Louise is a graduate of San Jose State University. Over her 76 years, she has been a teacher, puppeteer, retail clerk, and owner of an antiquarian bookshop. The bookstore, located for over 20 years in downtown San Francisco, now runs from her home selling online with a much-reduced inventory. A wife, mother, and grandmother now widowed, Louise travels with her cat in her twenty-three-foot motor home, exploring back roads and unusual places that inspire her writing. Her work has been published by High Shelf Press, Write Launch, Unlimited Literature, and others. Her poems and short stories have received awards from the literary divisions of the San Mateo, Marin, and Alameda county fairs as well as by Bay Area Poets, Ina Coolbrith Circle, and Artist Embassy International.
