J.D. Bagley was born in a small town in Alabama. He completed his Master’s at The University of Alabama, and then he ran away to see the world. Over the five years that followed he called places like Nicaragua, Singapore, and China home. He met some amazing people and listened to their stories in beautiful places. On his adventures he discovered that the human experience is far more similar than it is different. No matter where you are, stories of love, daring, terror, and adventure can touch any heart whether it was born in an American mansion or a Mongolian yurt.
For nearly two decades he kept his stories to himself, his creativity poured into files hidden away on his laptop. He told one of his stories to a beautiful Nigerian woman, and she convinced him that his stories needed to be heard. Around a year ago, and with a mildly serious inner panic, he began sharing the little slices of his soul with the world. Two of his stories have been accepted and this has encouraged him to write and share even more. The wild tornado of 2020 has blown him back home, but there are many more adventures to have, and many more stories to write.
